Label text:Original owner was Sir Adam Wilson (1814-1891); Wilson migrated from Glasgow, Scotland with his mother to Trafalgar Township where he worked as a clerk in the general store of his Uncle George Chalmers in Sixteen Village situated in the hollow on Dundas Hwy.; 1834 he entered the law office of Robert Baldwin, Toronto; 1839 he was called to the Bar of Upper Canada; 1850s part of the Queen's Council; 1859-60 he was the Mayor of Toronto (The first by Rec. HRH Prince of Wales); 1862-63 Solicitor General for Ontario; 1884 he was knighted.
