Label text:Dress was found in a trunk in Mrs. Fraser's grandmothers attic, grandmother was Mary Young whose father served with the British Army in the West Indies and subsequently in Canada, settling in Hamilton. Mary Young on marriage moved to Burlington where she raised 10 children, later moving to Oakville, where she built a house on the corner of William and Trafalgar Streets. Mary Young's married name was Caddy and the costume came from the Caddy side of the family.
