Label text:These dancing shoes belonged to George Ellesworth Morden who owned and lived at Pleasantview Farm. The farm was 200 acres and extended from Rebecca Street (Radial Road) right back to the QEW. It was the second farm back from the Hopedale Mall. George Morden was also a sea Captain and had his own sailing ship on the Great Lakes. He died sometime around 1934. His son Everett Morden lives on Pine Street, and Everett's son Barry is an announcer on the local radio station.
