Two ribbons:
1939-45 Star and Canadian Volunteer Service Medal. 1939-45 Star was issued between September 2 1939 and May 8 1945 for service in Europe, and on September 2, 1945 for service in the Pacific. It was awarded for six months service on active operations for Army and Navy. For Active air-crew, it was awarded for two months.

Canadian Volunteer Service Medal (CVSM) was established on October 22, 1943. It was granted to persons of any rank in the Naval, Military or Air Forces of Canada who voluntarily served on Active Service and honourably completed eighteen months total voluntary service from September 2, 1939 to March 1, 1947. The silver maple (worn on the ribbon, a silver bar was issued for the medal), was awarded for 60 days service outside of Canada.
