Label text:Believed to have been purchased in Paris by Juliet Chisholm, around the time of her marriage to Robert Turney, April 1926. It was later passed on to Nancy Hart (Juliet's niece) and then to the Sisters of the Church. The piece was restored while in the possession of the Sisters of the Church in the 1960s. All the ornamental hardware is believed to be original. The museum has been told that at one time there was a plaque attached to the piece stating that it had once belonged to Marie Antoinette.
