Label text:This dress belonged to Etta Sherman. Etta Sherman (nee Taube), worked with the Women's Auxiliary of the Alpha Omega Fraternity and Canadian Friends of the Hebrew University.
Harvey Berin was a fashion label that opened in 1921 by Harvey Berin. The label was very prominent in women's fashion as was the designer, Karen Stark. Karen was Berin’s sister-in-law. She created fashions based on the latest styles from Paris and Berin would approve or reject them. Some famous clients of the label were Pat Nixon and Ladybird Johnson. The label closed in 1970.
