Label text:Uniform belonged to Gerald O'Reilly; of Oakville who served in the 8th Army Brigade, Canadian Field Artillery from December 20, 1917 to April 1919 in France.

The 8th Brigade, which was authorized on 4 January 1916 as the '8th Brigade, CFA, CEF', embarked for Britain on 5 February 1916. It disembarked in France on 14 July 1916 where it provided field artillery support as part of the 3rd and 4th Canadian Divisional Artilleries in France and Flanders until the end of the war. It was redesignated the '8th Army Brigade, CFA, CEF' on 8 July 1917. The brigade was disbanded on 23 October 1920.
DescriptionMen's regulation khaki wool tunic; collar turned down with brass hooks at front; shoulder tabs; 2 breast pockets; side pockets with flaps; 8 brass buttons with “Canada” and maple leaf insignia; brown patch on right shoulder (Eighth Army Brigade of the Canadian Field Artillery); shaped back to waist with 2 side vents.
