Label text:Table was purchased by donor's mother, possibly in Montreal, during 1920's. Used in donor's bedroom since she was 11 years old.
DescriptionMid-Victorian papier mache lift-top sewing box. Black with ornate painted and inlaid mother-of-pearl decorations, top opens and has mirror underside. Interior and small drawer lined with pink and guilted fabric.
